Reiki Energy Healing

What is Reiki?

Reiki originated in Japan in the early 1920s with Mikao Usui, a scholar who, after a meditative experience on Mount Kurama, began an intensive study of energy, consciousness, healing, and spiritual practices. Usui trained over 2000 Reiki practitioners before he died in 1926. At least 16 of those practitioners were trained as Reiki Masters who carried on the legacy. Thus, all present-day Reiki practitioners can trace their teacher lineage to Mikao Usui.

Reiki focuses on universal energy. Everything we feel and think arises from how energy moves within and around us. Reiki promotes healthy energy flow by removing blockages and restoring connection and balance to your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. Reiki is a healing modality for those ready to feel calmer, clearer, and more centered.

My approach to Reiki honors your unique story, meets you where you are, and will always hold unconditional positive regard for your journey.

In-Person Reiki II

Rest comfortably, fully clothed on a massage table. There is a gentle placement or hovering of hands above specific areas to encourage relaxation and energetic flow. Many clients describe warmth, spaciousness, or a settling of the nervous system.

Distance Reiki II

Energy has no geographic limits. With an agreed time and simple intention-setting, you can receive Reiki from the comfort of home, ideal for busy schedules or when travel isn’t possible.

Session Options

The Peaceful Elephant offers 30- and 60-minute Reiki II sessions, in person or remote, with optional multi-session packages available. For additional support, pair your session with My Dimensions of Wellness, a 30-minute add on that will help you prioritize the first, or next, steps of your health and wellness journey.
